COVID-19 Update

Jul 30, 2020

What we are doing to fight COVID-19

We are working closely with authorities like law enforcement, EMS, and schools to minimize impact of covid-19.

  • Modified testing because of the number of positive tests
  • Decrease in the number of tests available and reagents to process. Because of this we have limited number of tests, 6 each day. This causes us to prioritize patients by severity.
  • We are no longer doing pre-procedure testing. Previously we had tested everyone before a procedure. We have limited this unless a medical professional specifically requests it.

Administration and staff at Minden Public Schools

We encourage all parents to be activly involved in the process to keep our staff and children safe. Here are the current steps we are taking and encourage you to take to keep people safe:

  • Masks are optional, but their use is strongly encouraged.
  • Parents help your children understand social distancing and hand hygiene.
  • Parents please closely monitor your children for COVID-19 symptoms (list symptoms and check temps)
  • If your child is sick and kept home from school, please also contact the Minden clinic. We will help determine the testing and process for recovery safest for the children.
