Community Health Assessment
A Community Health Assessment (CHA) is an assessment that identifies health needs and issues through data collection and analysis. In other words – what is our community in need of and how can Kearney County Health Services assist in obtaining those services or resources. The Community Health Assessment was developed by a planning committee that included participation from approximately 20 Kearney County Stakeholders. The report documents the participant’s observations, insights, and collect work products since the Health Assessment started. The Health Assessment is available for viewing here:
Nebraska Hospitals Community Benefits Report
Nebraska Hospital Association has published their report on Community Benefits. “Nebraska hospitals contributed nearly $1.27 billion to programs that benefited their communities in 2016, according to a new report by the Nebraska Hospital Association.” Community hospitals take an active role in ensuring the future of healthcare by reinvesting in their communities.
