Kearney County and surrounding communities play a vital role in the success of Kearney County Health Services. We strive to meet our patients and residents satisfaction. We are continually looking for ways to make improvements, and it is important for our administration and employees to be involved in the community.

Educational Opportunities

Kearney County Health Services is pleased to offer educational opportunities to the community.

  • CPR classes (BLS for Healthcare Providers AND Heartcode CPR/Firstaid) are offered monthly.  Please email cpr@kchs.org for a listing of available classes and times. 

Community Health Assessment

A Community Health Assessment (CHA) is an assessment that identifies health needs and issues through data collection and analysis.  In other words – what is our community in need of and how can Kearney County Health Services assist in obtaining those services or resources.  The Community Health Assessment was developed by a planning committee that included participation from approximately 20 Kearney County Stakeholders.  The report documents the participant’s observations, insights, and collect work products since the Health Assessment started.  The Health Assessment is available for viewing here:

Nebraska Hospitals Community Benefits Report

Nebraska Hospital Association has published their annual report on Community Benefits.

“Nebraska’s hospitals are the cornerstone of health and wellness for individuals across Nebraska.  Hospitals are also economic engines that grow rural and urban communities,” stated Jeremy Nordquist, NHA President.
