Free Immunization Clinic

As a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) we can provided Vaccines for Children (VFC). VFC is a federally-funded and state-operated vaccine supply program that provides free vaccines to eligible children 18 years of age or younger. The VFC Program helps all children have a better chance of getting their recommended vaccinations.

Children must meet one of the following requirements to be eligible for VFC vaccines:

  • Medicaid-eligible or enrolled in Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
  • Have no health insurance coverage
  • Underinsured (covered by insurance but limits may not cover full expenses)
  • American Indian or Alaskan Native

The Minden Medical Clinic offers this service Monday – Saturday, with or without an appointment. This is a convenience to busy families who may not want to travel or wait for a community immunization clinic offered through the local health department.

Children’s Health Insurance Program

Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) is a type of Medicaid for certain children who are without other health insurance and who do not qualify for Medicaid. It provides the same services covered under Medicaid in Nebraska. CHIP provides benefits such as improved access and continuity of care for children age 18 years or younger.

Minden Medical Clinic gladly accepts participants in the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Every Woman Matters

Every Woman Matters (EWM) is a federally funded program that can help you get your annual health check-up. The program is for medically under-served women who are 35 through 74 years of age, who have limited or no health insurance, and have a low or medium income. EWM provides screening and diagnostic tests and education and training. Some of the services offered include:

  • Pelvic exam
  • Pap test
  • Clinical breast exam
  • Screening mammogram (age appropriate)
  • Blood pressure check
  • Cholesterol check
  • Blood sugar (glucose) check
  • Health and wellness information
  • Limited diagnostic services

Minden Medical Clinic gladly accepts EWM patients with their screening card.
