Raising Community Awareness and Healthcare Support
Kearney County Medical Fund
Simply put, a hospital medical fund committee raises money and community awareness for a hospital or medical center. For a non-profit organization like Kearney County Health Services, medical fund committees are critical to the success of the organization. Hospital medical fund committees financially hold up hospitals and in our case the hospital and medical clinic.
Each summer, the Kearney County Medical Fund Committee holds a golf tournament as its major fundraising charitable drive. Charitable gifts or donations given to KCMFC throughout the year are additional funds that are invested in the facility for upgrading the quality of the equipment and services that KCHS is able to provide to the community.
“We believe that it is important for our citizens to provide for and retain ownership of the healthcare services, which are delivered in this community, thus ensuring the future availability of affordable quality healthcare services.”
The KCMFC meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at noon at Kearney County Health Services.
