He graduated with honors from Emory University and The Chicago Medical School. After completing his residency at William Beaumont Hospital, Dr. Rutman completed a fellowship in female urology, voiding dysfunction, neurourology and urodynamics under world renowned Shlomo Raz, M.D at the UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Rutman and his family are avid outdoor enthusiasts and have long awaited relocation to the mountains. For many years, they have dreamed of making the transition from an urban setting to a more rural way of life. They love to hike, bike, kayak, and above all, to ski. He and his wife, Marleigh, a retired pediatrician, have been happily married for 25 years. They have two wonderful sons, Aiden and Tristan: both students at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Their fur babies, Shadow and Skylar, have no idea what a treat lies ahead! The opportunity to practice his skills and help people in a rural environment is a perfect fit for his lifestyle and career aspirations. Dr. Rutman is truly thrilled to be able to join the Kearney County Health Services team.
