Cardiac Rehab RN Director
Kailey Leisinger has been part of the KCHS team for nearly six years, joining the organization in March 2020. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Creighton University’s accelerated nursing program and began working at KCHS at the start of her nursing education, including time spent as an aide while attending nursing school.
Kailey’s nursing experience at KCHS spans multiple areas, including Acute Care, the Emergency Department and Surgery as a pre-op/post-op nurse. In her current role as Director of Cardiac Rehab, she continues to assist weekly in pre- and post-operative care and helps in the ER as needed. In addition, Kailey earned her Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) certification, allowing her to provide car seat checks and education for families in Minden and surrounding communities.
What Kailey enjoys most about working at KCHS is the teamwork and flexibility, working alongside coworkers who are always willing to help and having the opportunity to serve patients in a variety of nursing roles.
Kailey and her husband, Levi, have three children—Willow, Stetson, and Banks. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, helping on the farm, checking cows and golfing together. Kailey also enjoys gardening and canning for her family.
