Sarah Halkyard has been part of the KCHS team for 10 years, celebrating a decade of service in June 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and is also a graduate of the Mary Lanning School of Radiologic Technology. Before joining KCHS, Sarah worked as a Radiologic Technologist in orthopedic clinics for six years and held PRN positions at Good Samaritan Hospital and a pain clinic in Kearney.
Sarah is passionate about the teamwork and mutual respect that define the culture at KCHS. She values the close-knit environment where colleagues truly care for one another, both inside and outside the workplace. The KCHS team is an extension of family, all helping each other through times of need, even outside of work.
Outside of work, Sarah and her husband, Ben, stay busy with their boy/girl twins, often found coaching their baseball and softball rec and travel teams. She’s an active member and Women’s Circle Leader at Keene E-Free Church. At home, their two happy dogs bring joy to the family’s everyday life. When she finds a quiet moment, Sarah enjoys fishing, relaxing on the patio, and cheering on Husker sports and the Green Bay Packers.
