Give Blood. Save Lives. Join Us for the KCHS Spring Blood Drive

A single blood donation can help save multiple lives and it only takes about an hour of your time.

Kearney County Health Services is partnering with the American Red Cross to host our Spring Blood Drive on Wednesday, April 1st from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Community members are invited to stop by, donate and help ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients who need it.

Every day, hospitals across the country rely on blood donors to help treat patients experiencing trauma, undergoing surgery, battling cancer, or managing chronic illnesses. Blood cannot be manufactured, it can only come from generous donors willing to give a small part of their day to help someone else.

By donating blood, you are providing an essential resource that supports patients both in our region and across the nation. Rural communities like ours play an important role in maintaining a strong and reliable blood supply.

Schedule Your Appointment

Appointments are encouraged to help keep the donation process running smoothly.

Why Your Donation Matters

Blood donations are used every day to help patients in critical situations, including:

  • Emergency and trauma care

  • Surgeries and medical procedures

  • Cancer treatments

  • Chronic illness management

  • Childbirth complications

Just one donation can help up to three patients, making every donor a powerful part of the healthcare system.
