Celebrating Health Care Supply Chain Week
Celebrating Health Care Supply Chain Week
October 5–11, 2025
This week, Kearney County Health Services is proud to celebrate National Health Care Supply Chain Week, recognizing the vital work of professionals who keep health care operations running efficiently and safely behind the scenes.
The 2025 theme, “Confidence in every decision, care in every step,” honors the dedication of health care supply chain professionals who ensure quality, safety, and value at every turn. These individuals make informed decisions that strengthen patient outcomes and support the overall mission of care, the true embodiment of advancing health care through supply chain excellence.
At KCHS, we’re proud to recognize Erin Schwenka, Director of Materials Management, for her exceptional leadership and commitment. Erin oversees the purchasing, organization, and delivery of essential medical supplies and equipment across our facilities. Her work ensures that our clinicians always have what they need to provide timely, high-quality care to our patients.
Health care supply chain professionals like Erin are integral to patient safety and organizational success. They collaborate across departments, from finance and operations to patient care and sustainability to make sure every supply decision contributes to both efficiency and excellence.
During Health Care Supply Chain Week, we extend our sincere appreciation to Erin and all supply chain professionals who work tirelessly to support quality care at every level. Their dedication may often go unseen, but its impact reaches every patient, every day.
Thank you, Erin, for your continued commitment to the KCHS mission and for ensuring confidence in every decision and care in every step.
