Kearney County Hospital
Trained & Experienced Staff with State of the Art Healthcare EquipmentSafety, Comfort, and Quality Medical Care
Kearney County Health Services is pleased to provide our community with a recently-renovated hospital. Updated in 2013, the 10-bed inpatient Critical Access Hospital provides spacious rooms for patients to recover from illness. Each of the rooms includes a patient lift for patients who are unable to transfer themselves from bed to the recliner, as well as a sleeping sofa for family members to stay close.
Nursing care at Kearney County Hospital is second to none. The nursing staff at KCHS consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Nurses’ Aides who live up to our motto “Pride in Caring.” With certifications in TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support), our staff ensures that patients are well cared for, if not pampered. Our staff is experienced in Medical/Surgical Nursing, Emergency Services, Restorative/Rehabilitative Nursing, and Gerontology, and strive to give each patient the best care possible. Patient nurse ratios are low—often 2:1.
Patient Safety is Our Goal
Patient safety is important at Kearney County Health Services. Nurses utilize smart pump technology to administer IV medications, barcode technology to assure proper dosing of the correct medication, and an Electronic Medical Record for timely bedside documentation. Patients are even able to access pieces of their own medical record through the patient portal.
Along with the inpatient renovation, KCHS added a specialty clinic area for patients to comfortably see specialists close to home, as well as updated emergency room bays and a procedure room.
