CPR Education

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) classes are offered monthly on site at KCHS by certified instructors. We can provide both BLS for Healthcare Professionals AND Heartsaver CPR / First Aid. Please email cpr@kchs.org if you have additional questions that may not be addressed on this page.

Heartsaver / First Aid

Heartsaver/First Aid requests will be handled on a case by case / class by class basis.  If you are needing a Heartsaver or First Aid class, or instruction for a group, please email cpr@kchs.org with:

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professional classes are provided through the American Heart Association (AHA).  Sign-up links are listed below. You can also email cpr@kchs.org to receive an automated email reply with a listing of necessary information, scheduled classes, and sign-up links.

Additional Information

• Cost for the BLS for Healthcare Professional class is $59 due the day of the class. This is payable by check or credit/debit card.  If you are paying with a credit/debit card, you will need to pay at the hospital registration area when you arrive.
• Books are available to check out at KCHS. Please email cpr@kchs.org if you want to check out a book prior to the class date. If you would like to purchase a book, the cost is $20.
• Classes are held at Kearney County Health Services, 727 East 1^st Street, Minden, NE. Please enter on the south side of the hospital, door #1 under the awning.  This will take you to the administration area where you will be met by an instructor.
• Once you sign up for a class, you will receive a confirmation email and then a reminder will be emailed 2 days prior to class.
• You will receive your card within 48 hours after successfully completing the class

The American Heart Association (AHA) strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged by such a course, except a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
